Beware - sounds like a new Scam

Got a call and they wanted to check the compatibility between my TV and my receiver. Did not call me by name or state what company they were with. When asked what company he gave some name but with the accent could not understand what it was. Did not care as my TV is just working fine. Has anyone else had this call?
