This really needs to be in this thread for facts right from the source (link below). Best to read the whole statement if you’re directly effected, but of note from the statement:
“ Please note during this heat wave student attendance is at parent discretion. Should you want to keep your child home please inform your school. “

i attend neelin high school! we have very minimal functioning AC. it is horrible. i had to go home early many times, i was sitting in my own sweat. first hand experience, it is not safe or comfortable! some do bring fans (very appreciated) but does not help much.

It’s hot in the schools alright, but……. it would cost taxpayers millions of dollars to add AC to Brandon schools.

I think it’s safe to say that most folks don’t want to pay more taxes to install AC in school.
