They just opened their buffet. Reviews? Has anyone tried? (previous Chicken Delight)

Went there for supper Friday around 6:00 p.m. There were only three other people besides myself dining then. Keep in mind that this was the opening week, so you would have expected it to be swamped with patrons eager to try out a new eatery. The buffet selection is adequate, but certainly not on par with Kims or Lees, despite the prices being about the same. They might find favor with workers downtown looking for a noon hour lunch, but I guess time will tell if they're still afloat in a year's time.

they advertise the opening? Perhaps a soft opening for them. Let's hope that they do well.

Also the long weekend so perhaps that played into it? Wish them luck

This is the first time I’ve heard about it, so, I hope they do some sort of advertising . . .

Funny . . . my first thought was, "cooking with cannabis?". Not quite, I'm guessing.  
 
My next thought was whether it may be serving as a ghost kitchen for the delivery apps in the area. But the website does not seem to indicate that.  
 
Either way, they look to have some good offerings. I'll have to check the place out sometime. I hope CHicken Delight comes back to Brandon in competent form, though. I did enjoy their chicken, always piping hot to order.

Owner retired and he was the only one working at Chicken Delight. I don’t think we’ll get another location again in Brandon (I loved their chicken and gravy too) You can drive to Portage to get your fix!

I went there for lunch. The place was pretty well empty. Food was ok with a small selection. Considering the other choices in town, I won't be going back.

My husband and I thought Bong Bong Chef looked clean with a new oriental touch from the old chicken delight restaurant. The buffet was hot and fantastic! Although “ not as many samples as one customer said” you have more than enough to go back for second helpings and leave you full. I find the more samples you have, you just don’t know where to put it on your plate. This way you have room for everything. Plus it’s a decent price for everyone to try, especially the downtown businessmen wanting to go somewhere quick for lunch.  
 
I’m thinking the new owners are relying on word-of-mouth rather than advertising through social media-that’s my guess anyways.
