It’s been my experience that so many bikes will drive across traffic without even looking and they don’t get off their bikes and cross like they’re supposed to. We’ve had so many near misses. I don’t trust anybody on a bike anymore.

100% agreed. However, even pedestrians are the same. They do not look both ways at intersection before crossing, and a lot of J walkers.

The rumour is the high school male did not make it. Condolences to the family of the cyclist as well as thoughts to the driver of the car.

Also condolences to the family.

It was a grade 10 Vincent Massey student. The high school bands were out of town on at a band camp and they have all come home early in response so kids can access help and resources to help them deal with this tragedy. It will be a hard thing for the community to process.

I won't comment on anything else.

I was going to say the same about drivers seeing as a lot of them seem to think they can drive and look at their phone at the same time. My condolences to the family.

to all involved. The driver, their family, family of the victim, friends, teachers and fellow students. Such a tragedy. Very sad.

What a needless and insensitive comment. A young male died, you would do well to learn compassion instead of making irrelevant comments blaming the victim.
