Manitoba Climate incentives e mail. Scam?

Both me and my roommate got this e mail seconds apart. I’m guessing it’s a scam. Anyone else get this one?

I got a text today with a link that tells me that I have $582.71 waiting to be deposited… I don’t make that much each CAIP payment and it’s not scheduled to automatically deposit until the 15th so it made me very wary

The Government does not email or text . The only electronic notification you will ever get from them is if you are signed up online for Service Canada. In that case, you can sign up for emails which will get you to log in and check your messages right at Service Canada. These email give no information about what the message is in regard to.

GST and climate incentive

We got separate text for both yesterday- same old scams every 3 months.
We just keep adding to our block list.
Our GST was already direct deposited and climate incentive rebates aren’t until January 15 so no doubt get more scam texts in week or so.
