I know the job market has shifted a lot though the pandemic and am considering a career change.  
 
Does anyone know of any actual work from home and/or remote job opportunities in Manitoba? Or maybe there are business owners who can confirm they offer this type of work locally?  
 
Google just overwhelms you with unhelpful information, so any insider info is appreciated.

Lots of software companies allow full-time work from home. But it is a competitive market and hard to get into.

WFH shifted back a lot after the pandemic. Probably a few more WFH jobs than there used to be but probably hybrid has a bigger increase.  
 
With a career change, you'd be dang lucky to get WFH. When changing career you kind of have to take the opportunities you get, and full remote work usually ends up more accessible for people further along in your career.  
 
So rather than a full career change, you're better off looking at your current expertise and figuring out what kind of job that could work for.  
 
Full Remote jobs that are advertised as remote are hard to get and highly competitive. One tip I have is to look for jobs that aren't labelled as remote but are posted for multiple locations.

For a company to want to hire you for any position, including wfh, you have to be wanting to actually work in the industry they are hiring in. You need more than just "I want to work from home". What career change are you making, what industry are you in now?  
Work from home could i:nclude anything from in home daycare to personal assistant, therapist with home office, trans:criptionist, etc.  
If I were you I would focus less on the where you'll be working and more on the what you'll be doing aspect.
