Just wandering why the city grader operators dont properly plow the corners of the streets , Allowing the melted snow (water). to follow the curve of the gutter down to the storm sewers. They always leave a edge that traps the water . As the temperature drops , it freezes leaving a huge lake of ice to contend with next morning . It would be great if they would follow the curb line around the corners . Giving the water a chance to drain properly . That would eliminate ice issues that the mail delivery personnel wont have to worry about .

Sorry but no they can’t do that, that would make too much sense. It would also make life too easy for Brandonites to do anything like that. Same with properly and promptly fixing the road issues including the ones they made.

With the amount of snow the city put in my yard, the melt is now up into my walk way. The water can’t get to the drain (I tried) at the corner of the street. I hope the city comes and clears the drain so water stops backing into my yard

Careful with that logic, people in this town don't understand that concept and just love complaining.

not complaining , just do your job properly . Guess thats why the city is sending their operators to ACC college to get training on their heavy equipment operator simulators .... Great plan on my behalf !!

Define "properly". Maybe that is properly according to City requirements. If the plow gets too close to the curb and hits and damages the curb, that suddenly means a lot more time and money that the city has to spend.

When I talking about the plowing "properly". Having a role curb style in my area , its hard to do damage to them . Im talking about when they come to a corner , they should follow it around so the water , when melting , has a path to the storm sewers . Instead they go straight leaving a good sized pile of snow.

I've seen the exact same issue in my area. It's crazy how they always seem to skip over that corner bit! If they just took a bit more care to follow the curb line, it would save us all a lot of hassle. And you're right, it's not just an inconvenience: those icy patches can be downright treacherous.
