Where could one buy a kitchen homemade old fashioned Xmas fruit cake Not commercialy prepaired, alaways so dry and tastless?  
Always made my own, but am quite ill, and appetite is picky, sooo craving for the real stuff.  
Would appreciate all suggestion, thanks.

They're excellent, made locally in Reston. They have a FB page and they do the trade show circuits. All sorts of flavours and they're very moist, not like the terrible mass produced stuff.  
 
I believe they're available at the Hi-Way Grocery in Virden and in Reston but you'd be best to message them and make sure, I know they sell out.

going to say the same as you have. Really good quality cakes! You will not be disappointed. I have tried a lot of the flavors, but have a few to go yet..

Hard to find someone that makes fruitcake as the Province needs food sellers to have properly inspected commercial kitchens.  
 
Patti Cakes makes very good and not dry fruitcake products here in Manitoba (started very small in Reston, Mb.)  
 
The Green Spot Garden Centre - Rosser Avenue E. in Brandon carries Patti Cake products . (Check Green Spot Facebook Page). The Green Spot have the product spelled as 'Patty' Cakes (should be 'Patti' Cakes) .  
 
They may be located as well in other Brandon retail stores in the City. They use high quality ingredients and they're worth the price. Also found at many local craft sales in the fall and winter, but the craft sale window is likely too late now. They are really nice cakes.  
 
Kuipers Family Bakery also carries fruitcake.. Local, hometown bakery here for many years. I haven't tried theirs for awhile, but I remember it was nice. They just mentioned their fruitcakes are ready to go on their Facebook page (with photos of products).

I bought mine this week at Two Farm Kids on 34th street. I went to buy ingredients to make one for myself and a neighbor, but was sold when I saw the quality of the Patti Cakes. The baker is from Reston MB, the Cakes are packed with fruit (one of mine is nearly a kg) and there were different flavors and sizes to choose from. I was even able to buy a gluten free one for my neighbor. There was a coconut rum one that I can't seem to stop thinking about, and I'm going back for it tomorrow. I have to say, way to go to the store's new owners as well for bringing in such a lovely product. Your new space is amazing and I look forward to seeing what other changes you have in store for your customers.
