Is anyone able to tell me how long the wait is for the new card once applied for online?  
 
I sent mine in Jan. 31. Tried reaching MB Health today, got sent in circles & then recorded message telling me their (call) wait times were long and to "try back later".  
 
I'm not really in a rush. I just want to verify that my application actually went through.

i applied jan 15th and still have not received it yet. You should have got a confirmation email at that time.

I applied in January and got mine 2 weeks ago.

Aunt got hers 2 weeks ago  
Uncle applied at same time. - still waiting  
Me same time -still waiting  
 
I applied for all 3 of us same day same time.  
 
I do not recall getting any email confirmation for any of us.

I received an email confirmation as soon as I submitted the application. It gave a confirmation number and said they would be processed in the order they were received. I didn’t apply until the end of February so probably have a little bit longer to wait.

I applied on Jan 15, 2025 - got confirmation emails for myself and separately for my kids.  
Received my new health cards a couple of weeks ago.

it's taking a while for some, me included. The old cards work fine.

I also heard from other people having issues, when they called to inquire about status of their cards, that you need to order the cards based on the order of names on your current card///

Over a year ago Wab Kinew, with an ear to ear smile on his face, braggadochiously said he was going to be able to get us new plastic Manitoba Health cards in TWO WEEKS. Just saying!  
I can get a new Costco card with my photo on it in about 10 minutes.  
 
I am now waiting well over 2 months for my new health card. Thankfully my raggedy old paper card still works.

I wouldn't exactly classify replacing a health card as a priority for health services staff. And, it's not like our Premiere is the one making them.  
 
Let's all remember, that there were a few Premieres that could have done this, but it wasn't until Mr. Canoe came along for it to actually happen. I remember getting my plastic health card in Saskatchewan in the 90's, so let's calm down a bit with the grandiose antagonizing comments.

Over a year ago it was Kinew that made a big production about plastic health cards. No Manitoba Premier before him did nor did they make a promise to deliver in 2 weeks.  
 
I am just calmly pointing out that Wab Kinew made a grandiose statement about an insignificant matter and didn't follow through.

I think the TWO WEEKS is the service standard they are hoping to have once everything is up and running. Spoiler: they are only just now getting up and running, because they had to set the entire system up first. I have heard there were some technical issues they ran into.  
 
Now that they're up and running, they have to clear the backlog. Something like 200,000 people have applied for new cards, which is like 15% of the entire population of Manitoba. At 10 min a card (using your Costco standard), that's like 83 days to process all those cards if they worked around the clock.

Making excuses for our government's les than dismal performance is how Canada has ended up where we are today.

And what is wrong with Canada today? Still one of the best and most respected countries in the world.

The way they do the plastic cards is stupid.  
 
Why would want a separate card for every kid you have?  
 
Most people have enough cards in their wallet already and who carries the card? Baby?  
 
Kids should be on their parents card till at least 12.

I received confirmation of my application on Jan. 17/25 and received my new card in the mail yesterday - Apr.15th
