Anyone happen to know how much snow we got in Dec. seems like tons.

Environment Canada has 14cm on the ground through December (that would include compacting and any melting of what had fallen).
They don't seem to be reporting daily snow at this station at least, but do have 29.5cm in "total precip" for the month which I assume includes the water equivalent of snow that fell:

With all the wind that the snow came with I don't think they could get an accurate measurement. Out side the city some fields are bare and our yard is full.

Yes they not show daily amounts of snow in cm. Oh well

Yes cowgirl, so much wind that roof of house looked like few inches of snow compared to what on ground when wind was wicked.

Hate to sound old.

But December snow wasn’t a lot compared to definition in the past.

This blizzard had many not be able to see their cars. Doors blocked so had to get out of upper windows even 3rd floors.

Shut down everything.

Luckily I was stuck at home. Some were stuck in various places not so lucky.

Stuck at work yuk. Kids stuck at schools in gyms. Yuk.

Really awful stuck on highway

That was snow.

Still realize this winter feels like a lot.

I hate when it rains more than snow in the winter. And the ice it creates. Black Ice so dangerous.

Just one small correction - the Blizzard in Winnipeg was November 7-8/ 1986. I was there too, LOL. I believe the total was 14 inches that fell in 12 hours.

That makes three of us
My grandpa lived outside of the city but worked as the night watchman for a car dealership downtown.

We were on a grandpa visit, into the city for a Jets game and ended up not being able to get back to his place because of the blizzard. Nowhere to stay so camped out for the night inside the dealership with the cars while grandpa did his thing. Quite a thrill for a young kid visiting the big city. Still remember those big windows rattling in the wind that night and grandpa sourcing out McDs breakfast in the morning from down the street so we had something to start the day off with.

Just looking at the Jets schedule for 86 and I see there was a Jets home game on November 7 so your dates check out!

December 30, 2004 was another bad one in Winnipeg. Some parts of the city got 30cm over a 24 hour period but at least 2/3 of it came in about a 5 hour period with high winds. Getting to work on new year's eve morning was a nightmare. There were cars abandoned on roads and in entrances to parking lots and numerous buses didn't run. My boss was thrilled when I showed up for my shift that morning, lol.

Very lucky the folks at Grand Valley church have allowed it be be setup at such a perfect spot. Actually just did an update to it over the last few days with the server switch that lets you run it as a timelapse. Should be cool to watch summer storms
Roll through or blizzards slowly pile up!
