stop lights and lane changes

WARNING: the content of this post is me venting about the way people drive and how its only getting worse. so if you dont like me complaining you dont need to read. hence the warning.
can someone please tell me if the road rules have changed?? i know stop signs are optional (sacasm) is this also now optional??
on saturday morning i went out to get something. i was drving down victoria next to a car. we pulled up to the stop light at victoria and 9th because it was red. we sat there for atleast 20 seconds when the driver next to me decided he no longer wanted to wait at the light and drove straight threw!! the next set of lights were green so he could continue and by the time he got to the ones on 13th it yurned red as he got to them and he went threw (definatly had lots of time to stop. i was going to follow him but he turned onto 13th and by the time the light turned green it would have been to late
now for the lane change. im beside this vehicle and its turning into one lane...my front end of my car it at his front tires...and what does he decide to do...but start going into my lane!!! i honk my horn because at that point im not going to let him in. by now people should realize that you must be in the lane i was in to continue straight. so hes still incredibly close to my car...and he almost side swipes me. then hes so close to my ass i cant see the entire front of his vehicle in any of my mirrors. so i slow down to show him hes to close. and he just continued to be like this. so by this time im furious. so when we get back to double lane to be a jerk i made sure he couldnt pass me.
im just so sick and tired of people being so selfish that they think they can put anyones life in danger. COMMON WE LIVE IN BRANDON PEOPLE WE CAN GET ANYWHERE IN 15 MINS OR LESS. what makes you think you need to be in front of everyone?? your going to get there in the same amount of time if your in front or behind me. also its sad because its only getting worse because people know they can get away with it. there is no consequences for these people. thats my rant and i feel better
