Welcome Back Americans!!!

With the recent plunge of oil prices, which appear to be tied to our Canadian dollar as we have a decent share of the "Black Gold" seems to have driven the Americans back to this side of the border shopping again. It's like they are getting 20% off every posted price in Canada right now. I noticed a BUNCH of North Dakota plates around town today while running errands.
Better get out and get your Christmas shopping done before the Americans scoop up all our stuff and take it back to the states
This also ties in with a news story I heard last week...
Since Canada has enjoyed the higher dollar for a while, remember all those greeting card and book prices were adjusted? Well, they are likely going back to the old pricing with the recent fall of the Canadian dollar when the supply depletes. In addition, Canada has been enjoying cheaper good like electronics for some time now, because our dollar was worth more, and big chains could buy their stock for less money. Again, once this stock depletes, expect prices on most goods to go up...If the Canadian dollar stays down, and I think it will. We probably won't see par again for quite a while. I'd say 6 months plus at a bare minimum, but night not see it again for many years...IMHO.
