Digital signs a-plenty
10/30/2008 at 11:18 PM
Many driving Brandon streets in recent weeks will have noticed what appears to be a new trend- high end digital signs.
Sutton Real Estate were the first to put one up at their 10th & Victoria corner (unless you count the smaller-scale signs of the North 40 and Crystal Hotel). Then on Thursday Royal Lepage put one of their own up on 18th. The Sutton one I know is even capable of playing videos and wouldn`t be surprised if RLP`s could do the same.
Personally I see both as a welcome addition to the everyday drive around town. Anything that brings a bit of extra life to a slow drive through the city or the wait at a stop light is good in my books.
My question is... how effective is this form of advertising to you?
Do you find yourself noticing the signs more than you would a standard billboard... and if so, do you feel it`s because of how much they stand out or simply because they`re new? If it`s the latter, does having a second one take away from the impact of the first one?
