Noticed today, that Bell Wireless, has joined the other major wireless companies (Telus, Rogers) in dropping their 'system access' fees...

There was an interesting article on the internet last week, about how the access fee and the 911 fees were started.
From that article, it stated that the initial access fee was approx $1.50, imposed by the CRTC at the start of the wireless, but they dropped charging the companies years ago.....
The 911 fee is Government imposed, but is legally to be a max. of 11.5 cents.
So we have been imposed these extra fees, for years, and for a great profit to the companies.... three class action lawsuits are in the works, asking for billions to be refunded for misrepresented , hidden and possibly, illegal fees.

But, for now, no word from MTS, whether they will drop theirs, too.
With 4 cellphones, to me the $36/month in access fees will be a major consideration at re-newel time...
to that end, I have e-mailed MTS, asking if they are dropping the fee.
It would be helpful if others e-mailed and/or asked, too...to make them aware that it is something they seriously need to consider...and is, as quoted in the article, the most hated and dis-respectful extra hidden fee in their plans.
I will post any replies I get from MTS, but also would appreciate anyone joining in the effort to get MTS to appreciate the NEW costs of cell phone plans and rates, and be fair and competitive.
