Over the past year, we have seen several announcements of businesses closing and layoffs. What we haven't seen is a running tally of the total number of people who have lost their jobs in that period of time because of the economy.  
 
Perths, Inventronics and Shape Foods each laid off dozens of employees, totalling maybe as many as 150 job losses so far.  
 
Can anybody think of any other Westman job loss announcements?  
 
If we start to add up all of the job losses, and the cost to the local economy, it might give us a more accurate picture of how scary things are becoming.
