My phone service is with MTS. Every single time I speak with my mom who lives up north we can hear other people talking in the background. We hear them laughing and sharing 'storie', etc.
While we know they can't possibly hear us clearly we wonder can they because many times it sounds like they are in the room with us.
A lot of times we hear the constant beeping of a phone being off the hook. It is very irritating as we are not on a party line but a private line.
Does anyone else hear these kind of background noises, too? I know when we first moved into our house, the phones would constantly pick up radio broadcasts.
But now hearing this constant background 'chatter' is too much.
