There are reality TV shows all over the place.  
 
These are people entering a profession trying to reach the top of their game, such as Top Chef, Top Model, The Apprentice (Trump), etc. etc.  
 
Why don't we have a little fun on eBrandon and hold a TOP MAYOR here for the City of Brandon?  
You are an alien never before laying eyes on the City of Brandon.  
 
What do you think?  
How would you change things?  
What would you see as a vision for this City?  
How would you grow the City or do you want to grow it too fast?  
How would you handle different aspects of a city such as Urban sprawl, Transit, Roads, City Administration, Marketing and PR, future development, the feedback of citizens, etc.  
 
 
There have to be some rules or this post will be eliminated, so let's keep the fun going as long as we can. This post will stay positive on eBrandon for the City of Brandon.  
 
Rules:  
 
1) No personal slamming of any present or past administration and this means individual names of mayor-elects, present and past and no City councillors or old decisions. This is YOUR NEW City and there have been no prior thoughts as you are entering as a newcomer and are not allowed to bring up the past. Move forward.As a newcomer , if you want to turf an entire lot of people it MAY be passable if done with respect - just don't get personal, and do not name people in particular.  
 
2) Point form if possible..no rambling paragraphs.  
 
3) No racial or discriminating remarks targeting any groups of people, organizations or posters.  
 
4) Negative remarks about other poster's ideas or their perceived successful MAYORALITY will not be tolerated. This is their Mayor's Chair and have due respect for each and every individual idea.  
 
5) Please think of City issues only...do not bring the Province of Manitoba into the fold unless it directly affects the City of Brandon with infrastructure, highways, capital funding, etc.  
 
6) Be generic. Do not name specific businesses, people or posters unless it's part of your Mayoral Plan (Ie: Keystone Centre, Transit, Horse Park, Riverbank, developing where XXXX used to be, the Ward System, etc.  
 
7) Keep your personal beefs out of it.  
 
8) Salary expected as the Mayor of the City of Brandon.  
 
9) Keep things to the point.  
 
10) Lastly, have fun!
