Our neighbor often leaves her kids home alone. They are old enough to be home alone, just not mature enough. Last time one of them came and either took something from our mailbox or put something in it. I'm not sure which as there the mail had just been delivered and I hadn't gone out to get it yet. Then they were just throwing stuff into our yard and kicking over our garbage bins. So what are our options? we will try and talk to their mom, but based on past experience and what we've heard from our other neighbors she'll most likely blame us and say the kids didn't do anything. So what else can I do? can I file a complaint with the police? even if all they do is go over and talk to the kids, it might put enough of a fear into them to knock it off. I'm at my whits end with irresponsible parents who raise up irresponsible kids!
