being laid off

Hey everyone,
I was recently laid off from m y job a few days ago.
Why is is so hard to find any decent work here in Brandon?
The skills and the experience I have are great to offer new emlpoyer,but I can not seem to find decent work that pays will.Anyone else feel the same?
Please let me know,as right now I am feeling really alone.
