It looks like we won't be naming any streets after Winnipeg-born and now New York playright Vern Thiessen after this quote in today's Globe and Mail..
The story at the link below closes with this quote:
If my play is a modest hit, I'll be happy. But you know what? If it's a failure, I'd rather have a failure in New York than a hit in - " He pauses, and I tell him to be careful with his words. Finally he smiles and says: "Brandon, Manitoba."Uh-oh. "I'll get the letters from Brandon," he nods, "and I'll be okay with that."
Any seconders for a nomination of "Jerk of the Week" ?
