Canada Day festivities

What's going on in Brandon and Westman for Canada Day '09? I know there's some fireworks at the Discovery Centre every year, anything else go on in Canada Day in Brandon and around Westman?
Last year I was in Quebec and went to a free Canada Day show at the Plains of Abraham, they had live concert stages set up everywhere, and had military exercises for the public to attend (seems like something you would see in Brandon), you could check out the army vehicles, and at the end of the day they had a free concert featuring Simple Plan and Hedley that brought out atleast 100-150 thousand people
