Just want to tell people about this, it is something I did not know about before. I was asking a questions about where to find help for moving. Someone posted the link for ceys.mb.ca. I called them and in an hour they had two people show up to help move everything.
SO if you are needing anything done.. anything.. You can call them and tell them what you have, and what the people need to bring, and how much you will pay. I said I need someone today, 2 people to move furniture and boxes into a truck, unload it and set it up, and I would pay $15 an hour. They then call people on their list that are needing work. It was so awesome. So, shoveling snow, mowing grass, cleaning eves.. Everyone should know about this, that is exists!
For me, I paid them for 6 hours, it was all done, everything set up.. So it was $180, and I paid $65 for a u-haul for the day.. CHEAPEST way to move ever!! Last time I moved we used a moving company and it cost us $2000. and they did not set things up, they just put it down. These people were great hard workers. They worked and worked, I had to make them stop to take a break, I went and got them food and had to try to tell them to stop for a bit probably 5 times.. Very reliable nice people. Kudos to ceys, what a great asset to the city!
Also for people that don't know about it, if you are in need or want casual work, I believe usually you get cash at the end of the job but perhaps there are exceptions, call ceys and sugn up, The man that was helping us said he gets a call almost everyday.
