Downtown assault/stabbing
8/14/2009 at 10:21 AM
This happened within the vacinity of a major public event (Cruise Nights)... did anyone see anything worth sharing?
---------------
At 1948 hours, police received a call that a male had been stabbed in the zero hundred block of 9th street. Members attended to the scene and the hospital and CIU members attended to investigate. It was determined that 3 subjects got into a verbal disagreement over a parking space and this escalated to a physical altercation. One male used a surveyor’s tripod to defend himself causing a puncture wound in the chest of another male. Police have interviewed all parties concerned and are continuing with their investigation, there have been no arrests made to date.
---------------
I heard one very detailed 3rd hand account earlier this morning, but am curious what anyone else may have seen/heard.
