Helpful Couple

A friend of mine is visiting from BC and received some very much needed help on Saturday from a young couple near Carberry. She would really like to say thanks to them and let them know how much she appreciates what they did for her but in the frenzy of everything she neglected to get their names. Here's what happened: my friend was taking the Greyhound from Winnipeg this past Saturday night and had a friend picking her up in Carberry. When she called Greyhound to inquire as to where they would be letting her off in Carberry she was told "at East End Station" which is in town. She made arrangements to have her friend pick her up there - no problem. When she purchased her ticket she double checked with the ticket agent that she would be let off at East End Station in town and was told yes she would. When she boarded the bus the driver informed her that he was not going to drive into town and she would be let off on the side of the highway. When she told him she had been told she would be dropped at East End Station and that's where her friend would be the driver became quite rude and informed her he didn't care what she had been told, he would be dropping her off on the highway. She was able to get a message to her friend and they assumed she would be let off at the motel on the highway - wrong! The bus driver put this 5 foot tall, 62 year old woman with a substantial amount of luggage out on the highway alone in the dark at 10:30 at night a fair distance from the motel where her friend would be picking her up. Ironically, if she had been a package being sent by someone he would have driven into town to drop off. Distressed, in tears, frustrated and scared, she was nearly out of her wits when this young couple in a pick up truck with a young child in it stopped to see if she was okay. She asked if they would drive over to the motel and let her friend know where she was. They refused saying they would not leave her alone on the highway at that time of night and drove her to where her friend was. Being so upset, she forgot to ask this couple their names so she could thank them properly and wants to let them know how much she appreciates what they did for her that night....so if they happen to be reading this THANKS!
