I pulled this is balls crazy bulletin off the police site, given the location it sounds like it had to have happened within the city. Why anyone would shoot a pet is beyond me but whats more disturbing is it appears the guilty party may end up getting away with it. Hopefully the kitty survives and the person that shot it gets several teeth kicked in or an intestinal blockage or possibly heart cancer. thoughts?  
 
Animal Shot / Injured  
 
At 12:27 PM on Tuesday, a report was received indicating that someone had shot a woman’s pet cat sometime during the evening of November 13th, 2009. The cat had apparently run away from a residence in the 500 block of 2nd Street around 6:30 PM and returned home around 10:30 PM with a puncture wound to it’s neck. The animal was taken by the owner to a veterinarian, where a small caliber projectile was later removed during surgery. The year and a half old cat was badly injured and may not survive. There are no suspects and the matter is currently under investigation.
