Did anyone see the meteorite to the west last night?  
 
I was working late, driving north on Hwy 83 between Melita and Hwy 2 around 2:30 this morning. All of a sudden the sky lit up.  
 
For a second I thought it was lightning. Then to the north west a meteorite streaked downward. It had sort of a green hue around it, then it kind of exploded. Looked a little like fireworks.  
 
Very cool. There was one like this last year too, it landed in western Saskatchewan.  
 
Anybody else see it?
