I have a Christmas story...

I recently attended my physio therapy class which I go to twice a week at BRHA. I parked in the gated lot, across from the Assiniboine centre, as I always do. I use the handicap parking, and have a card to hang in the window. I have been attending this class bi-weekly for a very long time now, as I had both my knees fully replaced. This day I was rushing as I was a few minutes late. When I came out I had a ticket on my car for $40.00. I thought I will just go down to city hall and explaine that I have a ticket for handicap parking, however, this one day, I forgot to put it out, it was on my sun visor, not on the dash. I went in and the woman at the desk said I must go back to my car a bring my car registration in to her. Then she would process the ticket. I had just finished 1&1/2 hrs of physio, my knees were swollen and painful, so I decided to just deal with it by mail. I sent the cheque in in the next few days. I received it back today, and was told that the cheque was one day late, and now I must pay $80.00 for the same ticket. I was so upset that I took another person with me to take my cheque into city hall. He tried to explaine that the ticket was not fair to begin with, and that $80.00 was really alot of money at this time of year. He said by the time he finished speaking she handed him the receipt and took the payment and left the desk!! WELL MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AT CITY HALL AND TO ALL THE PARKING ATTENDANTS WHO MAKE THIS TIME OF YEAR SUCH A MEMORABLE ONE!!!
