stealing my son's bike :-(

On Saturday night or Sunday morning my 13 year old Norco 125 bike was taken from our yard.
He is 13 and spent 7 months working to buy this bike all on his own.
It wasn't placed in our armed garage, nor "locked up" .
It was left in our fully fenced backyard" and yes it's his fault to have forgotten to put it away, but he's 13 and had come home excited with his two friend's to try out their newly rented x-box video game.
I am just so upset because what are the odds that the ONE time he didn't put it into the garage it gets "taken?"
I am sad to say that even in Brandon I feel the need to set up surveillance cameras :-(
What are the odds that we get it reclaimed?
