Yesterday while walking around in the nice weather, we stopped at 7-11 on 10th street for a slurpee. While waiting to fill my cup there was this little chunky sized native girl, approx 8-9 yrs old, filling a slurpee cup herself when this guy wearing his army uniform looked down at her and said "Yeah, sugar..?? Thats really more of what you need right"...and her faced just dropped and you could see the hurt on her face, she really looked like she wanted to cry. This was a no joking way, in his tone. before he walked away I told him that as very rude, and he simply gave me the same dirty look and a snorting chuckle as he walked away...seemed very much racist.But for sticking up for her, she smiled at me, as if saying thank you. goes to show who the better person was :D
