door-to-door window washer??

Has anybody else had a guy going door-to-door offering to wash windows? This is a first to me.....was charging $40, but we have lots of windows, so I don't know if that's a price per house or not.
Also a little odd, he was driving a van with B.C. plates on it......this was in the 3000-3400 blocks on Rosser Ave.
