Command Start
12/7/2006 at 9:23 PM
We got a new car a few weeks ago and it didn't have command start. Our old one we had it installed and we decided to do the same to the new one. We took it to the same supplier and ordered Command Start, not Pro start or a viper but the brand name Command Start. After two days in the shop becouse they said they had the wrong instructions and had problems we picked up the car.
When we started the car with the remote the doors would unlock first, then the car would start. Why would you want the doors to unlock when you are inside, so people can rip everything off out of your car as it is warming up?
We took it back and the service manager said this was not correct and they could fix it.
When we picked it up for the second time and tried it it would still unlock the doors, start the car then relock the car?I still don't think this is correct? Also when you use the remote to turn it off the radio stays on to kill the battery?
If they could not supply Command Start they should have told use before installing a no name brand.
I would like to take it back and get a refund and have it removed but what would our wiring harness be like after they hacked away for two day?
I will not say who it is but it is a major auto dealer in town.
What should I do?????
