Over 4,000 spectators had a wonderful time at the Santa Parade this year. Next year the committee is planning an evening parade to help celebrate Brandon's 125th Birthday. It seems our Managing Editor of the Brandon Sun has no appreciation for event in our community. Not only does he denegrate the work done by the committee on this year's parade, but does in essence call them incompetant and unable to host an evening parade in Brandon. Where was the Brandon Sun entry into the Parade this year? Noticable by its abscense. His excuse for his diatribe against the Parade committee was that they dared to schedule a Brandon event on the same day as a Winnipeg Event! Oh the Horrors! We'd best plan future events for our city around anything that's happening 150 km away. And we'd certainly better never look for any help from the Brandon Sun if an event happens to fall on the same day as something in Winnipeg.
