farm land

why is it so hard to find land for sale that is not used for crops. and just used for a acreage around the waskada melita deloraine area. i want my kids to still got school where they are but we cant find anything around here. all we need is like 10 or 15 acres. just to put a house on and have some space for other things. but why is it so hard to find something like that around here
