Rules to "pay it forward or Random Acts of Kindness"
8/26/2010 at 6:41 PM
Rule #1 Pay it forward is a selfless act.
Rule #2 You can freely pay for the person BEHIND you.
Rule #3 The less attention or Acknowledgment you receive during the "Selfless Act of Kindness" the Better.
Rule #4 Keep in mind, the less you have to explain to people - the better.
I have often paid for people, i didn't know, behind me in the drive-through. You just tell the people at the window that you are going to pay for the person behind you too. (They often assume that you know the person)
But when you start saying that you are going to pay for the people in-front of you, it's almost like you are looking for some kind of Acknowledgment. The people in-front of you will refuse and pay for it them selves. (Way to much hassle)
Where as, if you pay for the people behind you and then drive away before they get to the window. Then you have done it properly.
