Angry morning ( minor rant )

Yesterday, in anticipation of the furnace guys coming to check my furnace and smoke alarms, i bought all new batteries for my smoke / co2 detectors and installed them within an hour of the furnace guys showing up. ( $18.47 ) This morning at 3:00 i am awakened by a loud chirping noise....coming from my smoke detectors. This usually means the batteries are dead but how could this posibly be? So upon further inspection and removale of the batteries, i noticed that the batterries had been replaced with cheap no name batteries which had started to die.
Warning: keep an eye on the furnace guys.
To the gentlemen of the battery racket, ask for a raise if you cannot afford "the good batteries".
