I hope that people get out and vote based on what is best for the town.I am newer here, and No matter how long you have lived in Rivers your voice DOES matter(contrary to some candidates opinions).I have heard more than once"your opinion does not matter, you have not lived here long enough" from a few candidates.COUNCIL "We are not mushrooms feeding on bs and being kept in the dark" we do matter.My decision will be based on trust,integrity,and definitely transparency.I do have concerns with conflict of interest.The red flags popped up when I saw Mr.Gills truck unloading pipe to move town utilities for the new complex.As a member of the RRFRC he has access to info on the bids for the work therefore he can bid lower,on not only this work but all other work forthcoming and possibly share numbers with a few select other contractors ie: the fact that, Gill farms, has started on some excavation on the site today with his business.Strange coincidence ...I am sure that if Mr.Gill is elected as mayor he will not pass the utility moving contract on to someone else,I also doubt he will never bid on other town contracts for the next 4 yrs. This job of mayor or councilor for that matter ,needs to be given to the person(s)with no other hidden agenda,with no other interests other than the people and the town of Rivers.The wrong decision now will haunt us, the people for the next 4 yrs and could do more damage.The best choices are clear and these people should be voted in based on what they can do for the community.Butterfly is very vocal and hides nothing,yet she is crucified daily for making people in the community aware of the new dealings, shady dealings and secrets that the current and past council have had hidden.How may i ask does this make her a bad person?Because she cares? Because she does not baffle us with BS? I would like to meet her again,shake her hand and commend her on her hard work for, and caring for the community.Like her or not ,she is a straight shooter with no hidden agendas and she can back up everything she says or has said.I am not bashing Mr Gill,I have met him and chatted, he is very nice, I am just concerned for the towns future and towns people.
