Lest we Forget...This young man did not

So I was at the Keystone yesterday. I was waitinbg for a friend to meet me and we were getting tickets to last nights game. My friend was running late so I went into watch some hockey in Westman Place. I started a conversation with a woman in the stands. Her son was playing goal for the Brandon AA Pee Wee Wheat kings. We had a brief talk about hockey time committment money and then we discussed her son. He is 12 and his first helmet he did in memory and honor of his 1st grade teacher who had passed away from cancer. That helmet is now too small and he wanted to get a new design. He did this helmet all in honor of veterans. As she told me his story I felt very proud to know we still have young people in our community that realize the sacrifice of our military. To top all of this off this young man paid for both the helmet and the airbrushing himself a total I believe of over 800.00 dollars. I just thought in light of November 11 this was a inspirational story that is worth sharing and I thought more people should know about this. I wish i had stayed long enough to get a look at the helmet up close. Perhaps I will go to their game today and see it.
