Say "Screw You" to Health Canada
11/16/2010 at 3:57 PM
Oh my god. I just finished watching last night's The National about MS patients who have gone to other countries to have the Liberation Treatment and are having problems now and Canada Health won't help them because they had the procedure out of the country. Well what the hell did they expect? I have MS, and I am going at the end of this month to have the procedure in Mexico. Why? Cause its the only friggen hope we have. And it helps. How do I know? Well, other than talking to hundreds of people online who have had it done, my boyfriend had it done in Poland in June, and he feels amazing. His energy levels are through the roof, where he couldn't spend an entire day awake before.
All the theories that Canada Health has, and all the stalling - well screw you guys! And guess what taxpayers? If you don't approve of having follow up done here for surgery that is done elsewhere, ask yourself this? How much of your tax dollars goes towards Pharmicare? My meds are about $1600 per month. so, compare that on a yearly basis ($19,200.00) for the rest of my life (I'm 44 now, so lets say I live for another 30 years) - 19200 x 30 = $526,000) and compare that to the cost of a 50 minute angioplasty in a Canadian Hospital....where are your tax dollars better spent? Not to mention that I will be able to continue working full time when I get home from Mexico - not descending into a wheelchair, then into a personal care home where I at 45 can live next to my 96 year old friend's grandma. Not to mention that I will have to collect disability - also from your tax dollars.
And, there are currently 16798 people in Canada with MS. So if you take that $19,200 x 16798 that gives you a whopping (pulling out calculator cause I can't do that one in my head) - $322,521,600.00!
Honest to god people - get the friggen facts straight! Write to your MPs, to our dear Minister of Health Teresa Oswald - tell them that you're fed up to here (hands over eyes) with all the bullshit about making MS patients suffer. Was there some kind of genocide order that I missed or something?
Make sure when you write your letter, instead of sincerely, put MS CAN KISS MY ASS! CCSVI for ALL!!!!
