I agre the Y is old and tired and needs to replaced. I also agree Brandon needs a indoor water park. Hopefully this involves a wave pool, sprinkler area,and hot tubs at least.  
 
I just got back from Edmonton. the mall has a wave pool, kiddies pool, hot tub etc. Well I saw this same pool 19 years ago. I am sure there has been some repairs to this area but after all these years it is still running. I only about 5 people in the pool - Weekday 2 to 4 p.m.  
Now the Question - Why is our Sportsplex in need of so much repairs it can not be all that old? Maybe someone needs to question the companys involved in the construction. Since it seems the the building is crumbling way too fast.  
 
My next question. Why does the planned water park park for the new YMCA need to be scale back if they are not the only pool in this city? When I read this I thought "Blackmail" if the Y is not the only one then it will not be what Brandon needs.
