identity theft

First, the usual disclaimer. I was just reading some obits when I realized what fertile ground for obtaining info for identity theft. Some people submit every detail of the deceased life. Such as d.o.b, full name, maiden name, spouse, children, grandchildren, in-laws, education, employment, volunteer work, summer residences, winter residences, hobbies etc. This is not only to with the deceased as we have read from time to time how someone has taken the identity of the afore mentioned for an alias or what ever but this also opens the door to their relatives who are mentioned in the obit as well because it provides so much background. Anyone the least bit adept at this kind of thing would have no trouble As an aside we have also read how someone’s home was broken into while they were attending a funeral so that shows the criminal element is out there just waiting for us to screw up
