How do you personally deal with telemarketers/annoying calls?

I tell them I am busy, but if they want to leave me their home phone number, I'll call them during supper with their family.
My parents had a woman absolutely relentlessly calling them insisting on making a hair appointment. My kind Mom would tell her she had the wrong number, but the woman insisted it was the right number.
Finally she got my Dad one day on the phone and he just booked her hair for Tuesday at 9.
The was the last of her.
