New Fire Hall Location?

CKLQ has learned that Brandon's new firehall could be built at Princess and 18th street.
Council will hear a report Monday night and could decide then to proceed with buying the land.
Mayor Dave Burgess says he likes the proposed location which will serve the city well
Burgess says the city does not own land that would meet all the requirements.
Fire chief Brent Dane says the proposed 18th and Princess location meets the department’s response time.
A recommendation calls for the city to spend 750 thousand dollars to buy the necessary properties.
