On my way home from Canadian Tire today, I asked my hubby about the vacant land east of the cemetery. I assumed it belonged to the City for the continuation of the Cemetery....but it was his understanding the land was for sale,but the City wouldn't purchase it because it was contaminated by oil.  
 
Now....please excuse any puns but....wouldn't it be dirt cheap ? Are they concerned for the welfare of the consumers ? Wouldn't this be the perfect solution to the growing needs of the city at a steal of a deal ? But its not to be...looks like they will be splitting the cemetery grounds...and we will now have a choice of locations....the original location(until space is gone) and another location which I'm not sure has been communicated yet.  
 
I found it amusing that the city wants to put the fire hall on contaminated grounds,but won't put the deceased in it.............kind of makes you go hmmmmm.
