Stop signs needed on Kirkcaldy

As an area resident I would love to see some stop signs on Kirkcaldy. The traffic has increased, the speed of that traffic has increased and the time it takes to turn onto Kirkcaldy has increased. We have a 5yr old who loves to walk to the Conservation area, it is very difficult to get accross the street, most cars will not stop to let a pedestrian cross. The 2 worst spots are by Home Depot, there is a bus stop on either side of Kirkcaldy and no place for the riders to cross safely. And by Kirkcaldy Heights School, Its a school zone for heavens sake.
I know the Mayor has to get onto Kirkcaldy every day, I wonder what his thoughts are?
