Go fair trade for 30 days!
Join the growing number of Manitobans who are supporting fair trade. Take Fair Trade Manitoba’s One-Month Challenge (OMC) and pledge to drink fair trade coffee/tea and eat fair trade chocolate for 30 days, beginning February 14, 2008.

• Support fair wages and working conditions
• Promote sustainable livelihoods
• Foster global justice
• Make a real difference
Why Fair Trade?
Every time you choose a fair trade product you help to make a positive difference. By buying fair trade, you help to enable producers in developing nations to live with dignity. You invest in workers, in their families, in their communities. You invest in healthy natural environments that will continue to sustain us all.
Why the One-Month Challenge?
Fair trade just makes so much sense. But fair trade is the rare exception, not the rule in Manitoba. The OMC is being organized to change this.
We hope that the OMC will introduce thousands of Manitobans to fair trade issues and to the many fine fair trade products that are available.
And the focus on 30 days will send a clear signal to the market – there is a strong demand for fair trade products. So the OMC will also help change the local marketplace.
Your participation can make a real and lasting difference.

There are several places in brandon to buy fairtrade products such as Two Farm Kids, various coffee shops, and the Marquis Project/10 Thousand Villages. My wife and I own a cafe in Carberry called Penny Rosa Cafe and we are carrying a few fairtrade products.
