Anyone know if the RCMP are allowing it this year? I know in the past they have ticketed and towed vehicles to try promoting no one from doing so but that was a couple years ago.

They can't ticket or tow you. They have no right your not breaking the law. What would be there reason?

If I recall the people that were ticketed where underage drinkers and open liquor and the vehicles that were towed were due to dui. When it happened a few years ago.  
 
Clean up after yourself and don't drink and drive and it is all good. The clean up part is key because of the farmer that lets people launch from his land

If the river was too high and it was deemed dangerous, they would have every right (and obligation) to prevent people from doing it.  
Just common sense.

But what are they going to write the ticket for? They can't just tow away vehicles for no reason. If they wanted to stop you they couldn't just take your vehicle.

all I picture with this post is cops in tubes trying to catch up lol.

Would be trespassing, depending on where they park and where they launch? And I've definitely heard complaints from those that live along the river regarding garbage and disrespect.  
 
Like said above, clean up after yourselves, be safe, and be respectful and there shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully a few bad apples don't ruin it for all.

If the launch area is the place I'm thinking of I can understand not wanting to have a bunch of cars and trucks plugging up the road, at certain times of the year that road likely sees it's fair share of ag equipment and parked vehicles would just act as obstacles for those trying to get across the bridge.

The year people got towed is they had put up a no parking sign and towed the people who parked on that side of the road. When we got off the had multiple tow trucks doing so. Luckily we parked on the right side of the road. I believe since then people have knocked down the sign.

But parking on the one "wrong"side of the road is not! So if people have knocked down the sign the police will call to have them towed. Cops are driving there all the time.

Does it take to tube from Rivers to Bdn? Sounds like a great idea.

We went the other day, it was low and took about 3 hours.

Wife and I drove passed the bridge west of Grand valley road. There were plenty of cars parked west of the bridge on the south side of the road. Problem was half were facing west, which is against the law. Plus there were a couple cars on the east side of the bridge parked at the no parking sign. For those that complain about getting tickets, park where you can legally park and park legally.

I got a good laugh...just vision the cops in the tubes lol they would probably just join in! Jk

Respect the river and property owners.  
Clean up after yourselves! Carry out your garbage!  
 
The RCMP are afraid of losing a kid in that river.  
They must police the area for safety reasons.  
 
A search and rescue would be difficult.  
So...park properly...get organized...play safe...

Just did the Rivers to Brandon trip yesterday, and all in all it took about 9 hours. But we did stop a few times.  
 
Please remember to be SAFE, and to clean up after yourselves.

Has anyone been out lately? Was thinking of going on Wednesday but don't want to be walking for half of it, nor hitting my butt on the bottom of the river all the way down either.

we went on sunday getting low, a few spots ur butt will drag n 1 spot we had to get out n walk our tube a cpl feet.. took us about 4 hrs but we did stop a cpl times... Still had fun but likely our last trip

Be careful dragging your butt... Snapping turtle might take a chunk out of you

I went on the weekend and the water is definitely low. It was still enjoyable though but need to be cautious of the rocks.  
 
I have to add that I was completely disgusted and disappointed with the amount of beer cans and abandoned rafts/tubes people left behind. The lack of etiquette people have for our beautiful land is very unfortunate.

The river is pretty good right now , right speed right depth  
For that how asked how long from rivers to Brandon , I would recommend you try a shorter trip at first , or go with someone who has. It would probably take you 5-8 hours just from rivers to the Bridge  
So don’t under estimate , a few years back 2 couples had to be rescued almost at midnight at a point just before the 1st bridge because they did not realize how long it takes  
 
About the river , lots of snapping turtles , and beavers so if your skirmish about that then this river is not for you  
About stops along the river Please please clean up after yourself. As a nice guy I ask you to leave it the way you found it or would like to find it  
As the A_ _ that I am , most of the beaches on this river are privet land , and the ones setup with fire pits , hammocks , benches , and shelters are privet property its one thing to stop for a few min but to have a party leaving your garbage , broken beer bottles and fires lit is another thing. Be forwarded I have cameras setup and will report anything I am able too  
Again welcome to stop in , just respect the work and effort that was put into the areas  
 
 
Advice to those how will try this , float feet first as there are places that are shallow  
Let someone know where you start where you will end and when  
Take water  
A helmet would not hurt  
Sunblock  
And take your time it’s a great ride and lots of fun
