Does anyone know what a activities the boys are interested in? Any books/games or...?

As stated previously, the family has been moved to a hotel for the night. After speaking with them and offering my garage for their stuff and a place for their pets, I stopped at Canad Inns who graciously offered 2 free nights stay for the family to get them off the hard concrete. The family is now save as is their stuff and the pets are staying with them in the hotel. As for their story, they are a family in the process of moving to BC from Ontario and had unexpected car trouble. What can you do. I would not say that they had a lot of means for the unexpected but they were in great spirits and making the best of it. If you want to help, I'm sure you could drop off something at the Canad Inn, at front desk or like was done earlier, help them with the bill at Canadian tire. Small efforts make a big difference to somebody.  
 
I'm not rich but I feel it today.

think Magnumchief is right to a point, you may be concern but doesn't mean you should act to it. Interfere if kids are mistreated in any way or not being fed perhaps or no beds to sleep etc. otherwise yes mind your own business. We can't expect have everyone raise their kids same as ourselves. I'm sure canadian tire are aware of it and it is their property so if no problems then leave as is. They are probably nice people and happy as family just stop by and have a chat with them they'll probably enjoy it alot.

I am so glad to see that you, and other stepped up to help them out. Great job Brandon!

Just wondering how they set up a tent on a paved parking lot.  

It wasn't an actual tent. It was an ice fishing shack I believe.

Came by this morning and packed up the trailer and hit the road.  
 
They wanted to thank everyone for the generosity and concern. Hopefully the rest of the trip will be less eventful.
