Decent camping sites

Morning all,

I'd like to get your input on decent camp sites near Brandon.
If there's a nice fishing spot at the site that'd be a bonus.

It is a provincial campground and you can fish right off the shore of the campground or go to the dam. It is about a 20 minute drive north west of Brandon.

We LOVE Rivers campground! We always fish off shore! Nice lake for boating, not to mention the beach and playground! Ooh.. And the mini golf and concession!

Rivers provincial park or souris. If you don't want to go too far I think turtle crossing is back up and running!

Pelican lake.. Quiet unlike rivers, never tried souris... Assissippi is nice as well, 4 launches, new very clean fish shack and a boat wash down station, pavement all the way

I heard there were no open fires at spruce woods right now, well kiche- Manitou. What is a "open fire" considered? Does anyone know if this is true as i have reservations there thurs and dont really want to go if i cant have a fire lol.

We were just there. You can have fires in their fire pits: just not out in the open. It's nice there it really spread out. Rivers is nice too. We just bought an annual pass as its only $40
