Semi driver training
3/31/2008 at 12:48 PM
I am sure most in Brandon have seen the semi that drives around that is used for training.
I just saw this truck on Richmond, heading east towards first street, and it was pretty frightening.
Behind me, a pickup turned on his signal and switched lanes in front of the semi. He had plenty of room.
The trainee in the semi laid on the horn, you could see him shouting and giving the guy in the pickup truck the finger. The instructor in the passenger seat was clearly laughing at this.
Not so bad all in all, but then this idiot student driver decides to chase down the pickup. I am going about 55, and the semi sails past me in pursuit, getting far enough into my lane that I had to hit the brakes to stay out of the way. I am sure it must of been scary in the pickup.
This guy wants to be a truck driver? He is going to be a statistic after he gets into an accident.
And the instructor? Well, if you are thinking about becoming a driver, maybe you should find training in some other location.
