Black and white patrol cars

I heard Today On CBC Wpg that Brandon is going retro re the new police cars being Black and white. I never had time to continue to listen to the cities reason(s) on the radio for this but as I said last year on EBrandon when I raised this issue,I think its a good idea. There was a good thread on this idea with views on both sides--- did anyone hear the official reason why they are doing this??
